Nuggets fans and media members alike have been wondering what Brian Shaw will do at the power forward spot this season. The debate between starting Kenneth Faried or J.J. Hickson will heat up as Shaw plans to start the latter of the two in future preseason games.
Here's a snippet from Chris Dempsey's piece in the Denver Post today:
I think what I’m going to do in this next game or two is start J.J. Hickson at (power forward), see how he plays with JaVale in the mix there and Anthony Randolph or someone else at the (small forward) …
Be sure to read Dempsey’s piece as he has more on Shaw’s rotations, talks with JaVale McGee about his asthma and what he’s doing or not doing to regulate it, and catches up with Shaw about how the first two games went. Read it here.
-Dempsey's colleague Ben Hochman, former Nuggets beat writer extraordinaire, tackles a couple Nuggets related questions in his Thursday mailbag:
@JB_DenverSports: Besides Igoudala, which Nugget will be missed the most? Which Nugget will be the best off-season addition?
@Athomeiniowa: Best bad sports movie? I say "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh". How 'bout you?
For the answers, you'll have to click Hochman's piece right here. For those that don't know or don't recall, The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh featured a lot of hoops stars and a former Nuggets player: Spencer Haywood.
-Check out the deal Blazers fans get when their team scores 100 points:
The Trail Blazers and McDonald’s recently reached a five year, free food promotion deal. Sausage Egg McMuffin vouchers will be dispersed to fans when the Trail Blazers reach 100 points at the Moda Center, replacing the Taco Bell Chalupa tradition that stood for 14 years.
Chalupas and McMuffins?!? Wonder what the Nuggets deal will be this season? Still 110 points for tacos? Bring back Malik Allen!
