Welcome to the first week of the NBA season! Before we get to the normal flow of news and notes, just a couple of quick reminders for you:
Denver Stiffs on Facebook and Instagram
This year is going to be awesome, both for the Nuggets and for the Denver Stiffs. We’re working hard to bring you the best Nuggets content available, and to facilitate that we are expanding our presence on social media by providing new and unique content that will be exclusive to these platforms. For example, here are a couple of videos from the Denver Stiffs Facebook page that you might have missed:
In addition, we will be utilizing Facebook to stream live game day coverage, including interviews, right to your computer from the Pepsi Center.
If you haven't already, head on over to our page, www.facebook.com/denverstiffs, and press the like button to stay up to date with the freshest Nuggets content around.
Additionally, Denver Stiffs is on Instagram! We will also be using Instagram for game day coverage, as well as other Nuggets photos and posts throughout the season. Be sure to give us a follow!
Stiffs Night Out
The first Stiffs Night Out of the season is this Wednesday! Come to Jake’s Sports & Spirits in Denver’s vibrant RiNo neighborhood at 3800 Walnut Street, Denver CO from 5:30 to 9:00 to watch your Nuggets take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the first game of the season. The event is free to attend and all ages are welcome. It’s a great way to meet fellow Nuggets fans and Stiffs readers in a fun and friendly environment.
If the idea of fun, great food and bonding over the Nuggets with fans and fellow Stiffs isn't enough to get you out, the Denver Stiffs t-shirts are back and we will be giving away shirts to the first 40 people. So come early and get ready to cheer on the Nuggets in one of the best nights of the year!

Are there any French Nuggets fans left now that Joffrey Lauvergne and Axel Toupane are gone? If so, we need your help! An interview with Jusuf Nurkic popped up on Basket USA, but of course it’s in a different language. I took the liberty of translating the title, which sounds awesome, but didn’t have time to do the whole thing. If someone wants to find a translation and post it in the comments we would love you forever.
NBA Scouts on Western Conference Teams
Okay, so this is a really entertaining read. Anonymous NBA scouts share how they feel regarding other teams, including the Denver Nuggets. There's some pretty good stuff from each team, but one very confusing statement about Jusuf Nurkic at the end.
Balkan Bigs Lineup
Pat Graham, an AP sports writer, wrote about the Nuggets' experimentation with Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic in the front court, even giving the duo a new name (at least to me): the Balkan Bigs.
Golf With Tall People
We’ll end this week with some fun… Altitude’s Vic Lombardi went golfing with Danilo Gallinari and Mike Miller, but instead of focusing on his short game on the course Vic spent the afternoon trying to prank the two players. Check out the video below:
