The Tweet of the Week is a weekly post in which one tweet from a Denver Nuggets player or staff member will be highlighted every Saturday. The tweet will be picked either for its humor, inspiration or simply for being a good representation of what’s going on with the Nuggets that week.
Sometimes, way more often than we would like, we are reminded that life is so much bigger than a game. One of those moments came Friday as news unfolded that more than 100 people had been killed in terrorist attacks throughout Paris, France.
Although the Denver Nuggets got their third straight win in a game against the Houston Rockets Friday night, improving to a winning record of 5-4, it’s safe to say the players had bigger things on their minds than anything concerning the game of basketball. Danilo Gallinari proved this with an Instagram post he shared on Twitter early this morning after their win.
Great home win… Now focus on this back to back.. But honestly my thoughts go to Paris and France..… https://t.co/jMFi8kUlL7

When tragedy strikes, it has a way of putting everything into perspective. The Nuggets are in Phoenix right now to take on the Suns on the second night of a back-to-back, but everybody’s thoughts will continue to be with Paris for the foreseeable future. Right now, basketball just does not seem that important.
