The 2016 NBA All-Star break has come and gone, and it was definitely one to remember. Between one of the greatest dunk contests of all time, a competitive three-point contest, and a high-scoring All-Star game, there was plenty of excitement in Toronto. The best part of it all, though, was the fact that the Denver Nuggets were represented by three of their players that weekend. Emmanuel Mudiay, in addition to competing in the Skills Challenge, had a great performance in the Rising Stars Challenge. He had 30 points and 10 assists and showed flashes of what Nuggets fans hope he can do for years to come in a blue and yellow uniform. According to a tweet he posted on Thursday, he appreciated the opportunity to showcase his talent on the big stage.

It’s great to know that Mudiay enjoyed his first taste of the NBA All-Star festivities, but it’s even better to know that he’s still focused on the goal at hand. Although the Nuggets dropped their first game after the break, losing 116-110 to the Sacramento Kings, it seems that the team is committed to finishing the rest of the season out strong. Hopefully the Nuggets will continue to improve and win games while developing their young players. If so, Mudiay can look forward to participating again in the All-Star weekend in the future.
