Denver Nuggets fans were heartbroken a little over a week ago when the news was announced that Wilson Chandler would be out for the season after needing surgery to repair a labral tear in his hip. The news was a huge bummer, obviously because the team will miss his presence on the court this season, but mainly because Chandler had shown a lot of excitement this past summer about helping the franchise turn things around. He’s struggled with injuries throughout his career, but during the preseason it looked like he was as healthy as ever and was ready to aid in improving a young Nuggets team.
This is why it was really good to see a tweet from Chandler on Monday that announced he underwent a successful surgery and is looking forward to the next stage in the process. It must have been extremely difficult for him to hear that he would have to sit this season out, but it’s encouraging to see him approach the challenge in such a positive way.
Appreciate all the kind thoughts & prayers. Surgery was successful. Looking forward to the recovery process, coming back better & stronger!

I think I speak for Nuggets fans everywhere in saying that we all hope he does come back stronger than ever and can play out the rest of his career relatively injury-free.
Honorable Mention: Joffrey Lauvergne deserves to be mentioned for a couple of back-to-back tweets he sent out on Friday. His back injury that has kept him out for ten straight games has started to worry Nuggets fans to the point of wondering if the injury is more serious than originally thought. However, Lauvergne eased our minds with these tweets, informing us that it isn’t anything to worry about after all.
I should be back on the court this week.i’ve made all exams =>nothing serious.retour sur les terrains la semaine prochaine #toutOK
