Here is a quick Golden Nuggets for you all.
How about those Nuggets eh? While I appreciate the victory, and the game was quite entertaining … you can’t really glean anything from this victory. The Lakers appeared to be quite tired (after the Nuggets frenetic pace reminded them they were on a back to back) and then the rest of the game was the Nuggets simply being better. Good stuff from the Nuggets, but the defense is still a big concern.
Outside of that, not much going on. Links are below.
Nuggets put Lakers on the beaten track, 119-108 – Los Angeles Times
Kobe Bryant describes the Nuggets as a track team. Nuggets run the Lakers out of the gym last night, while Wilson Chandler (stepping in for injured Danilo Gallinari) had 23 points to lead the team.
Nuggets forcing way to home court advantage – Benjamin Hochman, The Denver Post
In a video blog, Ben Hochman talks about the Nuggets dominance at home and the potential for home court advantage seeding in the playoffs.
Coach Mike D'Antoni started job with Lakers behind the 8-ball – Benjamin Hochman, The Denver Post
A nice conversation/interview between Hochman and D'Antoni about stepping into the Lakers job. I keep being reminded of one of the many reasons Dan Issel fired D'Antoni in 1999. One was he thought D'Antoni's offense was a gimmick. While I truly believe his system is a gimmick, it's strange to see so many offenses steal some principals from the gimmick offense.
Goodell can be a beacon of Gay tolerance – Jason Whitlock, Fox Sports
While I hesitate to link anything Jason Whitlock, he brings up an interesting subject about homosexuality and sports (albeit ham-handed, clumsy, and borderline offensive use of terminology).
Have a great day
