Nikola Jokic notched his 35th career triple-double today against the Memphis Grizzlies, and I gotta say: it doesn’t get old. Especially not one where he scores 31 points to go with his 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He was in foul trouble in both halves or his rebound totals might have been higher as well. But you know it was good when Jokic actually admits it:
The Nuggets needed Jokic to run the offense with the starting wings – Gary Harris, Will Barton and Jamal Murray – opening the first two+ quarters of the game shooting 8-for-28. But into the fourth quarter Jokic worked two-man games with both Barton and Murray at different times to pry the game open and extend Denver’s lead. The assists to Murray and Jerami Grant were also highlight-reel worthy, so definitely enjoy all of those on this clip below. Jokic has most definitely gotten things working in December, averaging over 20 points for the month with his assists around 8. When Denver is running Jokic Ball they are tough to stop.
