Let’s go around the interwebs and see what is abuzz with the Denver Nuggets:

-First up we have Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving talking about Kenneth Faried’s performance at the Team USA mini-camp in Las Vegas. Irving says he would cut Faried based on how he played … listen for yourself!

-Sports Illustrated's (and Blazersedge's) Ben Golliver had this to say about Kenneth Faried's performance at the Team USA scrimmage:

Kenneth Faried: The buzz hasn't been as loud around Faried compared to some others, but he showed that he's capable of being one of the most explosive players on the court, even when surrounded by a collection of elite athletes. The Nuggets forward tallied 11 points and seven rebounds and had highlight plays on both ends.

-Sam Amick from USA Today has a story with Al Harrington and the, former Nugget, Orlando Magic forward has realized the nasty side of the game – the business side:

Harrington told USA TODAY Sports recently while training in Las Vegas. "One thing I realized is that it's not about how much you can play or what you can do on the court anymore. The game has become about (financial) numbers and salaries and stuff like that."

A good read from Amick and more quotes from Harrington. Al has been working out with former Nuggets assistant and consultant Tim Grgurich, among others, at the Impact facility in Las Vegas this summer.

-Aaron Lopez has some video up on Nuggets.com of Brian Shaw shaking a lot of hands down at Pepsi Center. If you haven’t seen it, check it out.

-The guys over at Roundball Mining Company discussed the off-season moves, thus far, by Tim Connelly and Company and don't sound very impressed by the first impressions (there's a lot more to the snippet below, so check the piece out):

1. Now that the Nuggets finally have a full 15-man roster, what can we deduce about the new front office?

Tom: The new front office looks for low-cost players who do at least one thing very well. …

Matt: What they did this offseason only makes sense if they have a win-now command from the Kroenkes, so I am not sure you can really judge them. …

Vytis: That they got desperate real quick after Andre Iguodala left. …

Joel: Based on what’s happened so far, I’m fairly unimpressed and disappointed. …

Kalen: That Masai Ujiri and the Nuggets front office salad days are as good as gone. …

-If you have yet to read Jackie MacMullan’s piece on former Celtics player Reggie Lewis, make the time to do so – it’s very good.

Twenty years later, we still ponder what might have been.

When Reggie Lewis collapsed and died on July 27, 1993, at the age of 27, he was already a husband, a father, a community leader, an NBA All-Star and a Celtics captain.
