Tonight marks the chance for the Nuggets to start another winning streak after their relatively comfortable win over the Indiana Pacers, which was most notable for the career high 19 assists that Nikola Jokic racked up. With the team being 10-1 in their last 11 games, they’ve really hit their stride and will look to keep up that pace as the rest of the season goes on. After last season, there will be calls for the team to slow down, and take the foot off the gas to not tire themselves out. However, it doesn’t look like that will be heeded.

They’ve put forth effort good effort as of late, and it’s likely that they want to finish with the second seed to secure home court advantage over everyone in the playoffs except for the Oklahoma City Thunder, or a couple teams from the East if they were to make it all the way to the finals. Whether they need to put the pedal to the metal over the entirety of the rest of the season to do so remains to be seen, but it’s likely that they’ll do what they have to in order to finish with the most advantageous seeding that they can.
