In a stroke of tremendous bad luck, the Oklahoma City Thunder won their series against the Los Angeles Clippers last night, but lost their best front court player in the process. Serge Ibaka left in the fourth quarter as the Thunder were making a big run.
Today, came this news.
News: MRI confirms Serge Ibaka suffered left calf injury during last night’s game. He is expected to miss remainder of the 2014 postseason.

And so it goes. The Thunder, up until last year, had been remarkably healthy. Most teams suffer from injuries that affect their progress. Hell, even Dwyane Wade has had multiple stints on the injury list with multiple ailments for the Miami Heat. Until the Thunder lost Russell Westbrook to a knee injury last years playoffs, the Thunder faced no such adversity. Now, two playoffs in a row, they go down a key player.
Needless to say that this will make their road to the Finals that much more difficult.
