The Denver Nuggets pulled out a victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Afterword Ty Lawson and Brian Shaw talked about what they saw, and how they can move going forward into the rematch coming up on Friday night. Now, truth be told, the Mavs will be that much tougher on Friday considering Dirk Nowitzki, Rajon Rondo and Tyson Chandler will all be playing.
However, Nuggets will have the services of Jameer Nelson, and next week or the week after should see the return of JaVale McGee and Danilo Gallinari. Two players the Nuggets are heavily counting on down the stretch. While we have seen a couple trades in past few days, you will notice that each aren’t what you call earth shaking moves. Jusuf Nurkic was outpreforming Timofey Mozgov as a rookie, and quite frankly the Nuggets needed a better veteran voice in the locker room than Nate Robinson.
What does this mean going forward? Well, the next few weeks leading up to the trade deadline will be a good indication. If the Nuggets go on a roll and begin winning games in bunches (outside of their current 5 game winning streak) it will be interesting to see how the current management deals with that. How will they move?
