In a huge turn of events, Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that the Nuggets will be meeting with free agent Dwyane Wade tomorrow:
Sources: Free agent guard Dwyane Wade meeting with Denver Nuggets officials on Wednesday in New York. Story soon on @TheVertical.

The news comes just hours after ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that Denver had offered the Miami Heat guard a two-year deal worth more than $50 million, putting the Nuggets as potential front runners to sign Wade should he end up leaving Miami. The Nuggets offer is at least $10 million more than Miami’s, which was a two-year deal worth $40 million. The Chicago Bulls have also expressed interest in Wade and remain in the hunt.
Whether or not Wade will end up in a Nuggets uniform likely will depend on the details of the contract. According to Woj's sources, Wade is looking for more than a two year deal, but if the Nuggets are going all in (as it looks like they are) then there might still be some negotiation to go on in order to secure him.
No matter what happens, though, the fact that the Nuggets are in contention to sign a high caliber player like Wade is nothing but good news for Denver. Even if Wade is just using this as leverage to re-sign with Miami, the Nuggets are starting to gain credibility around the league.
