The Tweet of the Week is from Tim Gelt, the Denver Nuggets‘ Media Relations Director. On Tuesday, Gelt expressed his appreciation to the Nuggets players for their dedication to giving back to the community.
Thankful for the efforts of our #Nuggets players in the community! You guys are making a difference in #Denver! pic.twitter.com/EeB3P2MYMU

The picture in his tweet shows Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Nikola Jokic, Jameer Nelson and Darrell Arthur while they were serving dinner at The Crossing, a homeless shelter in Denver. This was just one of many events that the players have participated in recently to help the less fortunate. Wilson Chandler also recruited Mudiay and Nelson to help him hand out meals to low-income, single-parent families at Warren Village, as he was unable to do so following his season-ending hip injury.

Furthermore, Will Barton showed up at the Vickers Boys and Girls Club a couple of days ago to hang out with the kids, while also providing Thanksgiving meals for them as well.

It's hard to imagine an NBA team more active in the community than the Nuggets, which is really cool to see. It seems the whole team is full of caring individuals, including Gelt himself, that are dedicated to making a difference.
Also, it appears by a tweet from Barton a few weeks ago that the team is thankful for Gelt, as well. I love that the team is so willing to express appreciation for one another!
Shout out2 my guy @Tim_Gelt Media Relations Director for our team! So much Positive energy & is a real 1! Always getting things done. Luv!
